Rising Sun Pictures’ expat employees love Adelaide

Pulteney Street-based Rising Sun Pictures has taken Hollywood by storm, creating visual effects for some of the biggest blockbusters to grace the silver screen.

Rising Sun Pictures’ film reel includes movies such as The Great Gatsby and films from the Harry Potter, Hunger Games and X-Men series. Recent works include Ford v Ferrari by 20th Century Fox, which won Academy Awards for Best Film Editing and Best Sound Editing, and Captain Marvel which grossed over US$920 million globally at the box office within its first month of opening.

The company has contributed significantly to Adelaide’s economic and cultural landscape. Now in its 25th year, Rising Sun Pictures employs over 200 people and has provided global opportunities and career paths for local creatives and attracted some of the best of visual effect talent from across the globe.
